PURPOSE
Perform multiple general ledger-related activities to include analyzing financial statements and balance sheets, preparing GL account reconciliations, monthly close and financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the accounting and processes for assigned areas
• Research and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Compile data and prepare a variety of reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
• Perform assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes.
• Analyze and explain business drivers of balance sheet and income statement variances
• Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
• Fulfill internal and external audit request.
• Act as a resource for team members.
• Participate and/or lead special projects.
• Model a high level of customer service expected of all team members including, but not limited to, responding to voice mails and emails within organizationally defined timeframes, completing projects as committed, responding to others’ feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting or related field
• CPA/CPC or CPA/CPC candidate preferred
