Overview
The RSD is primarily responsible for:
(including but not limited to the following)
- All aspects of driving and achieving retail sales and service goals.
- Managing, motivating and developing sales teams. The RSD will work closely with the brand sales associates and key retail partners throughout assigned territories driving business on a Regional and National level.
- Essential Duties are business strategy and analysis, seasonal promotional planning, identifying volume opportunities in assigned regions and strategizing a plan to achieve retail sales plan.
- Develop strong relationships at the store management level.
- Report business results on a weekly basis with strong presentation skills and ability to work and independently when the business requires.
- Allocate spending resources to achieve maximum retail sales.
- Schedule and execute in-store events (local and corporate)
- Must have strong organization and excellent oral and written communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- The Regional Sales Manager (RSD) is responsible for all aspects of driving and achieving retail sales goals.
- The RSD is responsible for managing, motivating and developing sales teams.
- Ability to identify opportunities within regions and territories and strategize a plan to achieve sales goals.
- Ability to implement retail sales goals by region and identify areas of opportunity.
- Strategize robust eventing strategy and ability to brief retail partners on all aspects on in-store events, new products, etc
- Execute all elements of new door openings in partnership with the in-house Education team.
- Ability to test and learn white space opportunities and think outside of the box with ROI attached to strategy.
- Develop strong relationships in the region, territory, and door level.
- Administration and tracking of all budgets within the region.
- Strong ability to analyze sales data by category by total region, by door, and by market
- Strong ability to establish a positive, challenging environment to ensure team success and forge lasting relationships at the door level.
- Establish a professional, positive, and on-going business relationship with the retail community.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in beauty retail, Sephora beauty experience a plus.
- Must be willing to travel to multiple states often when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience building, budgeting and achieving retail sales sell-thru targets.
- Proven ability to manage and work within budget.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven experience identifying, recruiting, managing, and developing in store-talent and freelancers.
- Ability to create and execute eventing strategy from start to finish.
- Vast knowledge and application of the competitive landscape and market insights needed to drive sell-thru.
- Strong leadership, training, motivation and selling skills in retail environment.
- Ability to create a learning environment with deep understanding of Brand DNA that translates to sell- thru team and retail partners.
- Ability to present and train confidently.
- Can demonstrate both strategic planning as well as execution simultaneously.
- Advanced knowledge of retail math, excel, google suite, PowerPoint skills.
