About The Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel our new client acquisition efforts. This is a foundational role in a high-growth business unit within a trusted global media and events organization.
You’ll be among the first team members, working closely with leadership to identify, engage, and qualify potential clients for our executive cybersecurity consulting services. Your focus will be on opening doors, building relationships, and setting the stage for our Strategic Account Executives to close business.
This is the perfect role for a driven, curious, and consultative professional who thrives on outreach, engagement, and connecting with senior decision-makers in the cybersecurity space.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a prospecting strategy to generate a strong pipeline of enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Identify and research prospective clients, focusing on CISOs, CIOs, and other cybersecurity decision-makers.
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and events to introduce ISMG’s CXO Advisory services.
- Qualify opportunities through strategic discovery to assess fit and interest.
- Schedule and coordinate introductory and discovery meetings for Strategic Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline records in the CRM.
- Represent ISMG at select cybersecurity conferences and events to support lead generation efforts.
What You Bring
- 1–3+ years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or a similar role within consulting, staffing, executive search, professional services, advisory services, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience engaging senior-level decision-makers; exposure to cybersecurity or information technology industries is a plus.
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation — with the ability to pique interest and build initial rapport.
- Comfort with high-volume outreach and pipeline-building activity.
- Curiosity, resilience, and a self-starter mindset; thrives in an entrepreneurial, early-stage team environments
