Overview:
Konnect is growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a key role in driving our next stage of growth. This is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on selling high-ticket, subscription-based HR solutions. You’ll be responsible for building new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and forming strategic partnerships that expand our client base and service footprint.
While this role is primarily focused on execution and results, there is opportunity down the road to expand responsibilities as the sales team grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential clients across target industries
- Drive outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule discovery calls for senior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive revenue growth
- Maintain CRM records and track engagement metrics
- Collaborate with marketing on campaign execution and content strategy
- Support proposal development and manage follow-up communications
- Deliver demos or sales presentations as part of the sales process
- Consistently meet and exceed sales performance targets
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of proven success in sales, business development, or client acquisition
- Strong background in selling subscription-based or technology services (SaaS, HR solutions, professional services preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to close high-ticket deals and manage long sales cycles
- Established partnerships and a strong professional network
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a growing team
- Comfortable with accountability, performance metrics, and delivering results
Compensation
- Base salary $60-$80k DOE
- Health Benefits paid by employer
- Significant commission structure with on-target earnings (OTE) of $150k–$200k for top performers
- Clear expectations for performance, with growth opportunities into sales leadership
